Dana Wang, MD

Dana Wang, MD, is a clinical fellow in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is a trainee in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. Dr. Wang was born in China and immigrated to California at the age of 12 with her family. She has lived in 4 continents and as a result, speaks 5 languages. She graduated on the Dean’s Honors List from the University of California, Berkeley, with dual B.A. Degrees in Molecular Cell Biology and Fine Art. She then pursued an M.D. at the Medical School for International Health (Ben Gurion University, Israel; in partnership with Columbia Medical Center, New York), where she was elected class representative and received the Dean’s List Honor – Distinguished Service Award for contributions to the community and to her medical school class.

 

Dr. Wang is devoting her career to translational clinical studies aimed at improving treatment and clinical decision-making. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, both as a resident co-chair of the psychopharmacology, committee and as co-organizer of the annual Psychopharmacology Conference. She has presented her work at local, national, and international conferences and co-authored book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. Other professional interests include psychotherapy and emotional wellness. She is a passionate advocate for addressing stigma and mental health service disparities in Asian Americans.
