CCCSEW Receives Japanese Medical Society of America Community Outreach Program 2020 Grant

We are pleased to announce that our center was recently awarded a grant from the Japanese Medical Society of America (JMSA) in support of our Fact Sheet initiative focused on community outreach and psychoeducation for Asian Americans.

JMSA is an organization comprised of Japanese healthcare providers, students, and others from diverse backgrounds who support promoting health, science, and research among Japanese communities in the US and Japan.

In receiving the JMSA Community Outreach Program (JCOP) grant, our Center has committed to continuing to produce high-quality fact sheets that communicate evidence-informed and culturally sensitive mental health information focused on Asian American students and families. By providing scientific and relevant information, we hope to decrease barriers, including stigma and myths regarding mental health in our Asian communities. A key component of this initiative is producing linguistically and culturally sensitive translations in a variety of Asian languages along with free distribution.
